We held our monthly meeting last week on March 12th at 10AM. First, we were delighted to welcome Erin Tuomi, the new youth services librarian to our meeting. If you’ve been in the library in the past year or so, you know Erin’s smiling face from the circulation desk. We are very excited that she is transitioning over into this position and very much look forward to working with her.
As for fundraising, our Annual Plant and Bake Sale is upcoming. The sale will be Saturday, May 17th from 10-2PM. If you can donate plants, baked goods, or your time, we would love to hear from you. You can also sign up to volunteer right now.
Thank you to all of the wonderful donations from patrons, our book store is up and running! I was just in there this afternoon with my son and we organized about five or six more boxes of really terrific books. We hope you will check it out. You can purchase individual books or fill a bag for $5.
As for Membership, our membership director, Julie, is working on an exciting incentive program for new and existing members. More on this as details become available.
As for renewals, if you are receiving this email it doesn’t necessarily mean that your membership status is active. If you have any question whatsoever about your status, please do email me and I will look into it for you.
In financial news, our treasurer, Jennifer, has been working hard on getting all of our taxes taken care of and organizing all of the financials. We will hold our budget meeting within the next few months for the next calendar year.
In other library news, our library director, Amy Sadkin, is hoping to start a seed library (in the old reference desk area). She needs the help of patrons who might consider donating seeds from their own gardens. Please stop in the library to see Amy or send her an email if you have questions.
